BUILD WALK-AWAY POWER

You saw the number on the way in.
December 2022. Thirteen months after we'd already moved to Mexico with almost nothing.
I'm putting that at the top on purpose.
If I led with $259,750, you'd decide I'm a different kind of person than you and close the tab, and honestly, that would be a relief for both of us.
Nobody looks at $487.40 and thinks magic. That's a Tuesday.
It took eleven more months to reach $6,000. Twenty-three months from the first check to something resembling a living.
What's between you and this isn't talent.
It's twenty-three months.
It wasn't content. My first video didn't go up until months after the checks had already started.
It was conversations. Referrals. People I already knew who'd worked out that I was the High Level person, and asked, and signed up.
I didn't have an audience. I had a reputation among a few dozen people for being good at one specific thing: High Level.
That's the actual entry point, and it's available to you today. The videos came later, and they helped. They weren't the start.
You need 25 referrals before High Level gives you the 30-day free trial link. Until then, you're competing with High Level.
The first 25 are the hardest and they're almost all conversations.
We were living in someone else's house and didn't even have our own place, in a situation we needed out of. That's a different story than this one, and I'm not telling it here.
We sold everything we owned and used the money to get out. Not a nest egg. Furniture.
We landed in Monterrey, MX because that's where Antonio's family is. Six months there, decided it wasn't for us, moved to Mazatlán. Three months ago we moved to Mexico City.
I had no affiliate income when we arrived in Mexico. None. I was doing client work: High Level builds, retainers, whatever came in. Fifty-five years old, in a country I'd just landed in, still trading hours for dollars.
I didn't build the income and then leave. I left, and then built the income. I don't recommend that order, it's just what happened.
High Level service work, constantly. Retainers. Sitting on other people's teams. Charging well and working all the time; two and three things at once, which is how I'd worked my entire life.
In January 2025, I decided to build a coaching business. Hired a team. Ran Facebook ads. Gave it six real months.
It didn't work. It cost about $38,000 and half a year.
That failure is why the rest of this page exists. If coaching had worked, I'd have built myself another job, and I'd still be inside it.
My health wasn't good. My marriage needed attention I hadn't been giving it. I had never taken a vacation. Not once, in a working life that started with two and three jobs and never really stopped.
I'm not starting another thing that isn't working for me at this point in my life. I thought I'd come back in December. I didn't.
What I did instead was Human Design work, which sounds like a detour and was actually the point.
The first time I'd asked who I am, at this time in my life, rather than what I can produce. And we travelled.
Looked at our marriage, at ourselves,
at where we wanted to live next.
Slowly.
On purpose.
The revenue went up 7% in the year I did no work. That's true. It isn't because I'm special, and it isn't because the internet rewards rest.
It's because these are recurring software subscriptions. The people I'd referred over the previous three years kept using the platform. Some of them grew and upgraded. The commission followed them.
I didn't do anything that year, NADA and I can't take credit for that year either. The work was done in 2022, 2023 and 2024, by someone who was FUCKING tired.
That's what recurring actually means. Not money for nothing. Money for something you did a long time ago, arriving later.
FOUR PROGRAMS. ONE OF THEM MATTERED.
Four programs, four years. One made $242,386. The other three made $17,364 combined.
I didn't diversify my way here. Three of my four bets were essentially zero. The one that worked was the thing I use every day and am known for.
Nobody could have told me in advance which one it would be. But looking back, the tell is obvious: it was the one I'd have talked about for free.
ClickFunnels paid me $15,231.97 over the years. It didn't collapse or cancel its program. It just quietly stopped mattering while I was looking somewhere else.
This is the part that gets left out of every passive income post: recurring revenue ends. Programs change, products get retired, commissions get cut, platforms fall out of favour. The deposits that arrive whether you work or not can also stop whether you work or not.
That's why the year off was a year, and not a retirement plan.
WHAT IT ACTUALLY COST
Affiliate covered nearly all of it. I live under what I make;
most months I bank $4,000-6,000 of it.
You can call that lucky. I'd call it the most expensive thing I've ever bought; paid in advance, over four years, mostly while exhausted.
The first one was $487.40.
The dips stay in — February 2024, March 2025 and April 2026 all went backwards. That's the shape of a real thing.

THE ONGOING LEDGER
The month I dug in and got back to client work. High Level dipped $305.45 and still covered my life 2.15 times. Client income passed High Level for the first time in over a year. Somebody asked what it costs to run the business, so this month I showed it: $4,779.24, most of it spent growing me. The plan from here is two clients at a time, about $7,000 a month, so the affiliate side gets my best hours.
High Level was up $523.78, 8.8% growth on my biggest line, with no promotion, no launch, and no email asking anybody to sign up for anything. Total affiliate income only moved $124.88, because FG Funnels pays once a year and that payment landed in July. So the recurring engine grew almost enough to cover an entire annual payment disappearing, and still came out ahead. Client work came back at $4,500. What moved it wasn't a better pitch, it was proof.
My first month back to work, aimed at clients, and client income came in at $0. The recurring affiliate engine still covered my life 2.16 times over while I barely reached out. That zero wasn't the market saying no, it was me avoiding the visible work. Now I know exactly how much reaching out it actually takes.
I'm publishing every month from here the number, what it cost, and the part that didn't work. Not a highlight reel. A record.
I'm 60 this year. I started at 56, thirteen months after landing in a country where I knew almost no one, with the money from selling
my furniture. If you want to watch the rest of it get built,
this is how you watch.
No pitch attached. When I have something to sell you, I'll say so.
