How to Make Money With GoHighLevel: 8 Ways and How to Choose

September 24, 2026•15 min read

You keep seeing people make money with Go High Level.

You've watched the videos. Maybe you even started a trial and clicked around for an afternoon.

You hit the same wall I hit, and so did so many others.

You have either cancelled the account or are still paying for it. Trying to ignore it with all your might.

And you haven't "started" yet because you don't know what you would sell. Or who you would sell it to.

But you can't stop thinking about it.

You are not alone. I was sitting in that very same spot.

And with the years of experience I have now, looking back, I can say:

There is no one way to make money with Go High Level. And it definitely doesn't have to look like what you see other people doing.

That's the mistake I made, and I see so many others making it as well. It's an easy trap to fall into: watching other people be successful and trying to put yourself in those same shoes when you're not the same person, with the same history, the same skills, the same environment.

There are so many possibilities, and what no one told me when I started is that there are eight ways to make money with Go High Level.

I found my path, and I use two, sometimes three, sometimes four of those ways.

My biggest two money makers are offering services and being an affiliate.

That combination has paid me every single month for years, and some of those deposits still come from work I did a decade ago.

I openly share my income and my journey to making money with Go High Level every month in The Ledger.

But I caution you: don't try to copy what I did. Keep reading.

Copying someone else's business, how it runs and what they sell, is EXPENSIVE. Because what I see six months later is people who are burnt out, selling something they hate, to people they don't even like, and struggling to make ends meet.

Here's what I found was the best work I ever did: slowing down, getting really honest with myself, taking a really good look around at who I am and where I am in my life, and building a business from that place, in a way that worked for me.

Taking the same route or designing your business from what you see other business owners doing or what the marketers are advertising to you on Facebook is dangerous.

My suggestion is: You pick from you.

Who you are, where you are in your life, who you already love working with, and what you actually want it to pay.

Looking back, there's no way I could have thought my way here. Standing where I'm standing now, it seems so obvious.

This post is a "do as I say, not as I do" with the hope that I can shorten the journey for you.

What Are The 8 Ways To Make Money With Go High Level?

There are five ways to get paid, and then three ways you can deliver any of them. Five plus three. So there you go, eight.

1. Services

Every business you would ever work with needs help. What is that? It could be almost anything. It can be physical services; it can be building something online, but it's always the same question: what does the business need, right?

Go High Level is just the tool. You're the one who knows how to make it work for them.

2. Build Your Own Software

Today, you can build your own software, right? An app in the Go High Level Marketplace, an AI tool for one niche, a portal your clients log into. You make it, you own it, and you sell it as a service. A few years ago you needed a whole dev team for that. Now you've got AI.

3. White-Label Go High Level (SaaS)

This is building a software company where you don't have to actually build the software. You put your own name on Go High Level and sell it to your clients as your platform every month. I've built dozens of these for other people. It's real money, and it's a real business, with everything that comes with running one.

4. Affiliate

Affiliate is recommending other people's software or products. Somebody signs up through your link, and the company pays you one time or every month they stay on the product or software. The client doesn't pay a penny more. Most of the time, my clients don't even know they're on my link. I wrote the whole story of how this works for me in How Affiliate Income Works.

5. Partnerships

Getting clients is the hardest part of the game that you and I are in. If we can refer back and forth, and we get a small percentage, great. Even if it's not a percentage, it helps both of us get clients.

The 3 Ways To Deliver: Do It Yourself, Do It With You, Done For You

You can offer it three ways: do it yourself, do it with you, or done for you. There are three, and they have three different prices, right?

Do It Yourself. A course, a checklist, a template. When you build something for somebody, turn it into a template. You can sell that template, and you can speed up your next job with it. The Go High Level marketplace even lets you sell your templates right inside the platform. Seriously, there's so much out there.

Do It With You. Consulting. You and them, together. You know more than you think you know, and people want help all day long.

Done For You. Implementation. You do everything. People will pay to have it done.

And everything overlaps, depending on who you are. You build something for a client, and now it's a template. Somebody signs up on your link, and now they want you to set it up for them.

So how do you choose?

How Do You Choose The Right One For You?

When I'm talking to somebody who's trying to figure this out, the same image comes up in my mind every time.

I see all the pieces of who they are come together and form a sphere. Their history, their skills, the people already around them, where they are in their life. And it's golden. It's illuminating.

I call it the Golden Sphere, because I see it glowing and coming together in my mind.

For me, this is God-driven. If you don't use that word, that's fine. Here's what I mean: who you are is already perfect. I was born worthy. You were born worthy. Everyone's born worthy.

Everything you have ever been through or done matters, and it can be used to make money.

So you don't need to go be somebody else to make money with Go High Level. You get to build from who you already are.

When I'm working with someone, I don't start with the eight ways. I start with them. And I run it through three things: Problem, Passion, Payment.

The Problem, Passion, Payment Framework for GoHighLevel

Problem: What Will Clients Actually Pay You To Solve?

It has to solve a real-world problem that clients are willing to pay for. Start with your history, what you naturally have skills for, and your natural circle of people. What are people always asking you for help with? Pay attention to that. That's usually the problem somebody will pay you to solve.

Passion: What Can't You Not Do?

I hate the word passion. But it's the thing you cannot not do.

Where do you spend your time? Not where you like to spend your time. Where do you actually spend it? Pay attention to who you talk to, what you talk about, what you want to talk about, what you watch, what you listen to.

One thing for me is Korean dramas. I love them. I lived there. I could judge myself for it, but I love them. In my videos, I actually use my Korean soup spoon as my microphone holder. That Korean part of my life wraps itself into my work, and I can't stop it.

What is that for you? It can be quirky, it can be cheesy, whatever. Just figure out what it is, and bring it to your work.

Payment: Does It Support Your Goals And Sustain The Business?

How much money do you want to make at this time? How much time do you have? What are your constraints, physically, financially, spiritually?

At the end of the day, it's about making sure you have enough to live the life you really, really want.

The only thing that changes is how fast you need it. And I learned that one the hard way.

Where all three overlap, that's the star in the middle. That's your spot. Run your Golden Sphere through those three, and most of the eight ways just fall off on their own.

What's left is yours.

Why I Chose Services And Affiliate

I didn't pick these two off a list. Looking back, I was just following the breadcrumbs, taking a few chances, making dozens of mistakes, and one day I ended up here.

I came back from Korea, and I just didn't want to go back to work for anyone else. I started trying to build a website for myself with no idea how and no money. I'm glad I didn't have the money, looking back on it, but at that time it looked like a real constraint.

I realized I had some tech ability and some desire to learn it, and I was off.

Years later, I was working in social media, and I bought a program from the incredible Liz Benny called Social Monkey Business. I bought it for the bonus: a ready-made website you could just edit. I was tired of building websites. That website was built on funnel software, and that's how I got started in the funnel-building world.

I stand here today from a bonus in a webinar.

Then I heard someone say she made six figures in recurring affiliate revenue from website hosting. My first thought: WTF. My second thought: that's it, that's my answer. (I tell that whole story in How Affiliate Income Works.)

So I became an affiliate for the funnel software I loved. And as you can imagine, nothing happened. No clients. AGAIN.

By July 2017, I had poured over $150,000 into courses, certifications, and coaching. I was the smartest broke person I knew. I sat in the Vancouver airport with a one-way ticket to Durango, Mexico, and I wasn't coming back until my business made money.

In Durango, I found Danny, a six-figure affiliate with an unmistakable British accent. He asked me how much money I had. Three times. The third time, I told him the truth: $500. I sent him every penny.

His instructions: go into the software's Facebook group, find anyone asking for help, comment "Happy to help," and offer to help for free. Do it until you have three calls booked.

I was pacing the room, sick to my stomach. Then I screamed at myself in my head:

SIT. THE. FUCK. DOWN.

In two hours, I had three calls booked. One of them became my first client, a webinar funnel I offered at $997. She negotiated me down to $380. But still, I had a paying client. In the five weeks I was in Durango, I made just under $10,000.

And then I started to see a pattern. My clients all had the software. They had no clue how to use it to market their business.

The affiliate revenue wasn't flowing. The service work was.

That's the combination. Services bring you money right away. The affiliate income takes longer to build, but one day you look up, and it's paying you every month, whether you worked that month or not. Do them in tandem.

Over time, that software changed and no longer aligned with who I am, so I took the same combination to Go High Level.

Why I Never Built A SaaS

I've built dozens of SaaS businesses for other people. I've never built one for myself.

I went to Go High Level's very first SaaSpreneur event. I spoke to the owners of Go High Level. I really wanted to know who they were, what was going on, and where the business was going. I wanted to just look them in the eye and ask: could I put myself and my family here?

And I asked them, "What do I do? I'm a Canadian living in Mexico." I thought that was the problem LOL.

At that time, Go High Level was all about local businesses. I didn't feel comfortable talking to people in Canada because I was in Mexico. I didn't feel comfortable talking to people in the United States because I was in Mexico. And I didn't feel that Mexico was anywhere near ready for software. Jesus, most businesses didn't even have websites.

Okay, well, my location has given me some constraints, right?

Or at least I thought it did.

Here's what I couldn't even admit to myself back then: I wanted permission to be an affiliate. It just didn't feel like a big enough dream. They were building these huge agencies and making bank, and all I wanted was steady affiliate income?

I still have that thought every once in a while. People are making millions. I just want that income coming in all the time. And some days, it still doesn't feel big enough.

It's enough for the life I want.

That's the only test that matters.

So I do services and affiliate. I slip into templates, referrals, and partnerships, but those are my main two, because they fit my Golden Sphere.

So if the path that fits you sounds smaller than what everybody else is building, take it anyway. That's the permission I was looking for in that room.

What If You Pick The Wrong One?

Oh, you probably will. More than once. And it's normal.

One of my affiliates, Nicole, is the best example I have. She's a coach with real skills, and she was ready for something different. She had Go High Level, and at first she didn't do anything with it.

Then she started trying. Coaching? "Been there, done that." She went into trades, then event venues, and found, "The type of person who runs event venues is not interested in automations." Plumbing? In her words: "Am I interested in plumbing? No."

She told me, "I have all this knowledge about exactly how to do this for other people. But I can't do it for myself." Being "one of gazillions of options," she said, "wears you down."

Then she helped a city council candidate with her messaging, and it clicked: "Wait a minute, this is a case study... I can charge other people for this."

She had just run for office herself, and won. She already had the network. And it was her world: "I don't have to acclimate to this, like I get it already."

My reaction? Why didn't we think of this before?

In her words: "The best possible thing was just right in front of me, and I didn't even look at it; I didn't even consider it."

Go back to the three P's.

Here's what I told her: you found a passion and a problem, but they weren't willing to pay, so you just had to keep going until you found that spot for yourself.

Every time this happens, people pivot three times. It's normal. Nobody talks about it. How could you have known without trying?

Those first niches weren't good, bad, right or wrong.

They just weren't yours.

FAQs

Is Go High Level Worth It?

If you know what you're going to sell with it, yes. I've set up hundreds of businesses on it, and it's the software I built my income on. If you sign up hoping the software will tell you what to do, it won't. That's what this whole post is for.

How Much Can You Make With Go High Level?

It depends completely on which of the eight ways you pick and how much work you put in. There are people making millions, and those are the outliers. Most people who try never make any money, and the rest land somewhere in the middle. I share my real numbers every month in The Ledger, so you can see what it actually looks like.

Do You Need The $497 Plan To Make Money?

No. You only need the $497 plan if you want to white-label Go High Level as your own SaaS. For services and affiliate, most people start on the $97 plan and move up when their clients need it.

Do You Have To Be A Go High Level Expert First?

No. When I started, my clients all had the software and no clue how to use it. You just have to be a few steps ahead of the person you're helping. You know more than you think you know.

How Long Before It Makes Money?

Services can pay you fast. I booked my first client within days in Durango. Affiliate income takes longer. For me, it took about 14 months before it really took hold. That's exactly why I do them in tandem.

Where Do You Start?

If you don't have Go High Level yet, don't try to learn all of it at once. Start with the basics. I put together a free guide called How to Master the Basics of High Level in 7 Days.

And when you're ready, start your Go High Level account through my link. When you do, you get the HL Revenue Room free (it's normally $37 a month). That's me in your pocket, helping you figure out what to sell and who to sell it to.

I'm Pamela Dale. I built affiliate income that let me take a year off work, and the deposits came anyway. Now I'm building the next level of it in public, real numbers included. I write about GoHighLevel, affiliate marketing, money, living abroad (Mexico, by way of a decades-old dream), and the mindset that builds all of it. I wrote the book Cracking the Client Code, and I believe great things happen when women have money. You already know what you need to walk away from. I write about the guts and the income to finally do it.
